Psychic Helps Solve Ipswich Murders

22 December 2006 - Ipswich, England.

Welsh psychic Diane Lazarus (appropriate name!) who talks to the dead about these matters, recently offered her advice to Police in the hunt for the "Ipswich Ripper".

This is her amazingly accurate list of predictions:

1) "I will catch the Suffolk Strangler.";  Well, actually, she didn't, the Police caught him thanks to good, old-fashioned detective work.

2) He is a lonely young man;   Well, actually, he'd been living with his female partner for over five years. We aren't too sure how many people class 48 as "young".

3) "If I was taken to where the bodies were found I would be able to help police unravel this mystery. Being at the murder scenes, I would get messages which would help me to visualise what the killer looks like.";   Very probably true - after all, the other predictions are so accurate.

4) "I have worked on many high-profile cases.";    Evidence suggests that she has been involved with ONE case. The Garda should be ashamed of themselves - no wonder there are so many Irish jokes

5)She helped Norfolk Constabulary to investigate the unsolved murder of 14-year-old schoolgirl Joanna Young who was found dead in a wood just two days before Christmas in 1992 (obviously not successful that time);    Outright lie

6)She helped West Midlands Police find the killers of college lecturer Mark Green, after claiming he contacted her from beyond the grave and told her their identity;     Outright lie

7)"I feel this young man in Ipswich wants to be the next Yorkshire Ripper"   Really? The Yorkshire Ripper didn't get caught for years.

8) "I think he is a young lad..."  "a hoodie,..." "who, obviously, has no life."  See above re: young. He is a dock worker, so probably did wear a hoodie on cold days. He clearly had no life, often playing 36 holes of golf in a single day.

9) "I am getting the feeling that he is doing this as part of some kind of religious ritual."   Actually, he was doing it because he's insane. Close though, religion and insanity are very closely linked.

10) "He must be sitting there rubbing his hands with all the media coverage he's getting."   Maybe, but he'd probably rather be free.

11) "I fear there will be more killings..."   Very possibly, he could well get killed in jail.

12) "but I believe he will make a silly mistake and will be caught by DNA evidence."   Yes, he made a silly mistake alright - killing prostitutes close to his home and where he was well known as a frequenter of prostitutes, the first profile police look for in cases like this.

We'd like to thanks Diane for her perceptive insights into the working of the spirit world.

(Also, her husband is an expert in quickie divorces if you think divorce rather than murder's a good option to get rid of an unwanted spouse.)
